The fourth edition of the highly
\nanticipated UTP Elite Eight Playoffs is set to take place from June 4 to 9,
\n2026, in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.<\/p>\n
Considered the flagship event of
\nUnified Tennis Philippines (UTP), the Elite Eight Playoffs serve as the
\nculmination of all age-group tournaments held under the Cebuana Lhuillier
\nTennis Tour and UTP sanctioned events over a 12-month period. Widely regarded
\nas the most prestigious playoff event in the UTP calendar, the tournament
\nbrings together the country\u2019s top-ranked junior tennis players in an intense
\nbattle for national supremacy.<\/p>\n
The competition will feature the
\nTop 4 players in the UTP rankings from Luzon\/NCR and Visayas-Mindanao (VisMin)
\nin the following divisions:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Boys\u2019 and Girls\u2019 12 Under
\n\u2022 Boys\u2019 and Girls\u2019 14 Under
\n\u2022 Boys\u2019 and Girls\u2019 16 Under
\n\u2022 Boys\u2019 and Girls\u2019 18 Under<\/p>\n
A total of 64 elite junior
\nathletes \u2014 32 from Luzon\/NCR and 32 from VisMin will compete for the coveted
\nopportunity to earn a place on the 2026 UTP National Team, which will represent
\nthe Philippines in an international tournament in Malaysia later this year.<\/p>\n
According to Jean Henri Lhuillier,
\nUTP President and President and CEO of Cebuana Lhuillier, the tournament aims
\nnot only to recognize players who have demonstrated consistency and excellence
\nthroughout the season, but also to provide deserving athletes with valuable
\ninternational exposure and opportunities to compete on the global stage.<\/p>\n
With the stage now set in San
\nCarlos City, the country\u2019s brightest young tennis talents are ready for a
\nthrilling week of high-level competition as they chase their dreams of
